WiFi if the camera will be within range of your router. 4G if it won't be, or if you'd rather not depend on your home internet at all. Same camera, same recording, same battery, the only difference is how it connects.

Yes. The P2 4G runs on cellular, with no WiFi or wiring. The included SIM supports AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile and connects to the strongest available network for your location automatically. Coverage depends on where you install it.

Most cheaper solar cameras are motion-triggered: they stay asleep until something warm gets close, and their batteries last days, not months. How far can the P2 security camera see, and does it have color night vision?

It detects movement up to 25m /82ft away and can automatically or manually zoom 5x up to 50m /164 ft, far enough to read a face or a plate. At night it records in full color up to 30m /98ft

Will the P2 security camera send too many false motion alerts?

No. The P2 tells the difference between people, vehicles and pets, and you choose which ones alert you. Draw your own detection zone so the road beyond your fence doesn't count.

How long does it take to install the P2 solar security camera?

About 3-5 minutes. No wiring, no electrician, no drilling into the house. Mount the camera and the panel where you need them, scan the QR code, open the app, and you're recording.

What comes in the P2 security camera box, and how many cameras do I need?

Where does the P2 store recorded footage, and who can access it?

On the memory card inside the camera, in 4K, overwriting the oldest footage when full, upgrade to 128 GB or 512 GB for a longer history. Optional cloud backup is stored on US-based servers. Only your account can see it.

P2 vs. S4 Pro: what's the difference between these security cameras?

The S4 Pro uses PIR heat detection, which can be late or miss an event. The P2 uses FrameSense and is always recording, so the moment is already on record, and it detects at 25 m where the S4 Pro's sensor reaches 12 m. The S4 Pro has two lenses for a better live view, but only the bottom lens triggers recording, so it watches less ground than it shows.
